“Listen carefully. Understand the terrain. Then decide where to go.”The Riverstone approach
Riverstone Consultants was founded by Jonathan Lancaster, a hospitality executive whose career has crossed operations, revenue management, distribution, business development, acquisitions, and enterprise strategy.
Over more than a decade in multi-market vacation rental and hospitality leadership, Jonathan helped scale operations across destination markets throughout the United States—building commercial functions, leading teams, entering new markets, evaluating and integrating acquisitions, and navigating the balance between local expertise and centralized scale.
Before hospitality, he was an educator and spent years guiding professionally in the fly-fishing industry. That unusual combination shaped a direct, observant, and deeply practical consulting style.
Operator experience · Independent judgment · Practical execution
Talk to the people doing the work. Understand the customer, the economics, the market, and the operating environment.
Organizations often spend enormous energy solving symptoms. The first job is determining what actually needs to change.
A recommendation only matters if the organization can act on it. The path forward must fit the people and the business.
Growth should strengthen the qualities that made a business successful—not erase them in pursuit of scale.
If your organization is navigating growth, evaluating an opportunity, reconsidering how it operates, or simply needs an experienced outside perspective, start a conversation.
